High demand for plastic worldwide has resulted in increasing environmental pollution. To make the manufacturing process more environmentally friendly, recycling of waste must be considered. In view this a social enterprise called Me.reka Makerspace aims to use produce recycled products using injection molding. However, molding is complex process. past experienced numerous failures resulting defective and cost wastage. assist with Me.reka’s objective, study aimed recommend capable producing good quality that meet dimensional accuracy surface roughness requirements. Literature review done on separation techniques, properties testing molding, ventilation systems. Manual sorting was found best Me.reka, where it can separate all 7 types plastics collected by highest efficiency lowest cost. The melt flow rate specific type determine its compatibility machine. Furthermore system Makerspace’s facility displacement ventilation. It expected installation an efficient system, hazardous gasses produced during will efficiently expelled thus protecting health workers.
